The entire healthcare system is not only going through a process of digitization but also algorithmic saturation. From prevention to diagnostics and treatment, all the way to care, great hopes are being placed on new technologies: The healthcare sector is going to be better, more efficient, more individualized and more cost-effective. But how realistic are these promises? What risks do these developments involve? And primarily: What do those affected, so members of the public, think about this? We have invited experts from various fields to join us, in order to do justice to the breathtaking technological developments in the healthcare sector. Combining these different perspectives makes a fundamental reflection on healing with algorithms possible.
Fruzsina Molnár-Gábor will be providing insight into the legal issues of AI use in (bio)medicine. This will be followed by Cordula Kropp who will be joining the discussion with the doctor Götz Martin Richter.
